In fact, there\u2019s nothing like taking risk upfront to keep an enterprise on its toes, says Gavin Ratner, its managing member.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe go out to the site, find out what the problem is and do\nthe investigation for free,\u201d he says. \u201cThis really means putting our money\nwhere our mouth is, and clients appreciate it that we take the risk upfront.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The Kempton Park-based company\u2019s clients are usually mining\nhouses, power plants and manufacturers that use industrial-strength fans for\nventilation and can ill afford the production downtime that goes with faulty or\npoorly functioning fans.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Their problems typically revolve around fans that someone\nelse supplied and installed, so Air Blow Fan\u2019s arrival is a breath of fresh\nair; it has a talent for fixing legacy problems.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>While the fan concerned might not be brand new, Air Blow\nFans\u2019 approach is stat-of-the-art. <\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are continually improving our skills and solutions, and\nare very strong on the engineering side,\u201d says Gavin. Air Blow Fans \u2013 which won\nno fewer than five tt100 awards in 2018 \u2013 has invested heavily in engineering\nsoftware for analysis, design and systems monitoring, and is one of a handful\nof small South African companies with ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.\nIt should not come as a complete surprise that\nthe company is also a fan of the TIPS\u2122 framework. \u201cWhat I like about TIPS is the way\nit ties everything together,\u201d Gavin says. \u201cThere is no one component of\nbusiness you can focus on in isolation. You have to look at all of it.
